The suitcase for the course
CEFR A2132 words

Questions
You answer them with the text in front of you. It isn't memory: it's understanding.
What removal frees space without dropping something Léa must bring?
La grande serviette de Léa. — The centre provides towels; removing hers frees space without removing a course requirement.
If Léa keeps all her books and the towel in her initial suitcase, which preparation might she be unable to complete?
— She seeks room for the camera and can pack it protected only after reducing books and removing the towel; keeping everything leaves that problem unresolved.
Léa wonders why she keeps the small book but removes the large towel. What difference explains her choices?
— The centre supplies towels; Léa keeps a small book for the journey. Both are not required for the course. The camera is protected by its box, and the book is not equipment for walking.
Léa has little space after reading both notes. Which choice keeps what she needs for the activities while reducing what is only for the journey?
— Reducing journey books leaves space without removing the camera or rain protection. The centre asks for walking shoes and announces rain; keeping the towel at the expense of the jacket or changing those shoes removes course requirements.
Which items prepare her for the announced outings?
— The outings involve outdoor walking and forecast rain; walking shoes and the jacket meet those conditions.
If Léa reads only the first note, which later addition cannot be justified by that note?
La veste imperméable dans la valise. — The first note requires a camera and walking shoes. The waterproof jacket responds to rain announced in the second, which she has not read in the hypothetical case.
