Task

Describe the lockers in German for a visitor with a large backpack. Small lockers by the entrance only hold small bags. Large lockers at the end of the corridor hold large backpacks. Choose, describe location and capacity, and explain the other option’s limit.

1. Who will read your text, and what do they need to know first?
2. Note the facts you must keep and decide what information you will add.

Criteria

1. Identify a large locker.

   Identify the referent: the reader needs to know who or what you mean.

2. Locate it at the end of the corridor.

   Keep the fact that lets the reader act without guessing.

3. Relate its capacity to the large backpack.

   Connect your decision to the need in this situation.

4. Explain that the small locker by the entrance does not fit this backpack.

   End with useful information for the next step.

Review

Keep your draft. Mark an improvement and explain why it helps the reader; if it already meets the criteria, identify and justify a specific check.
