When two things change at once, they often pull the message in different directions: a new time can cancel the reason for a place. Fix the fact that the change breaks, keep the rest, and check the tone — a message to your boss is not a message to your brother.
The usual slip. Updating the time but not what depended on it — «la cena es a las 10» when the kitchen closes at nine — or keeping tú in a message that needs usted.
Why it catches you out. English marks future plans with «going to» or «will»; Spanish uses the present: “Te recojo a las seis” is already the future. Repairing a Spanish message is moving a few words, not rebuilding the tense system.
