Questions

You answer them by listening. If you slip, we tell you where it is.

  1. Which buns does the customer choose?

Apple buns — The seller offers chocolate or apple; the customer answers “Los de manzana”, choosing apple.

  2. Copy the Spanish number word: the total is ___ euros.

cuatro — The seller explicitly says “Son cuatro euros”. The loaf costs two and two buns cost one each: 2 + 1 + 1 = 4.

  3. The customer buys two loaves of bread.

False — She asks for one loaf and two buns. The quantity two refers to buns.

  4. What is the one euro handed back for?

Change from the payment — She pays five euros for a four-euro purchase, so one euro is change. No bag charge or bread refund is stated.

  5. How will the customer carry the purchase without a new bag?

In the customer’s own cloth bag — She declines the offered bag and explains that she has a cloth bag. The box holds the buns, but the cloth bag explains why she needs no new bag.

  6. The bread is hot.

True — The seller says “El pan está caliente”. The temperature belongs to the bread, not to the bag.
