Questions

You answer them by listening. If you slip, we tell you where it is.

  1. Why does the group need a different meeting place?

The library will be closed for building work. — The first speaker names the closure and building work. Noise concerns the café; Friday is discussed as an alternative, not a changed booking.

  2. What makes Marcos accept the café despite his earlier objection?

The morning slot avoids the music he remembers. — His objection is afternoon music. The first speaker offers a morning slot before it starts and he accepts; Paula cannot attend, and his sister is part of a past visit.

  3. Which arrangement includes Paula without changing the confirmed meeting time?

She sends questions in advance and receives a summary afterwards. — Paula cannot attend because of her class. Her note is read at the start and a summary is sent back, so the meeting can go ahead while including her contribution.

  4. Paula will receive an account of the discussion after the meeting.

True — They will send her a summary after reading her questions. Missing the meeting does not exclude her from the follow-up.

  5. Why does Marcos suggest sitting away from the door?

To reduce noise from the street when it opens. — He links the opening door to street noise. Paula will not attend; space for customers is not his reason.

  6. Knowing that Marcos will arrive late removes the need to confirm the number of people today.

False — The first speaker says she must confirm today how many people will attend. Marcos’s late arrival does not change that requirement. The script does not specify the date on which this conversation takes place.

A El viernes tampoco abre.
