A class in a different place

CEFR A2127 words

Questions

You answer them with the text in front of you. It isn't memory: it's understanding.

  1. Why was the class moved?

A broken pipe made the usual centre unavailable — The broken pipe is the stated reason. The teacher is present, and the library hosts the class.

  2. Copy the Spanish word: the class took place in the ___.

biblioteca — The notice says the class is in the library. The centre is its usual location, not its location that day.

  3. Pablo missed the first exercise.

False — He entered “antes del primer ejercicio”: before the first exercise. Arriving after the narrator does not mean missing that exercise.

  4. What did the message help Pablo do?

Find the relocated class — Pablo went into the usual centre because he missed the notice. The message supplies the new address, so it helps him reach the relocated class.

  5. Where should Pablo go for Thursday’s class that week?

To the library — The change lasts the whole week. Thursday falls within that period, so the library is still the correct location.

  6. The library was about five minutes away on foot.

True — “A cinco minutos a pie” gives walking time. It does not describe a bus journey.
