Video description

Accelerated didactic sequence of germination, side view in a cutaway of soil in a pot. A single seed is visible inside the soil, in a small hollow just below the surface; nothing rests on top of the soil. First a white root connected to that seed grows downward and branches; then, from the same point, a connected green shoot rises, breaks through the soil surface and unfolds leaves towards the warm light. Presented as an accelerated process for teaching; it does not claim a real duration or that all species germinate the same way.
