Auxiliary in the future + participle: j'aurai fini, je serai parti. It says which of two future events happens first. And after quand, dès que and après que French demands a future, never a subjunctive.
The usual slip. Putting a subjunctive after quand: «quand j'aie fini». French never allows it: a future or future perfect goes there.
Why it catches you out. English uses the present perfect: when I have finished, I will go out. French wants a real future in both halves, and putting a future after when is something your language never does.
