A visit to confirm

B1.1 · Request information to arrange a visit and explain a constraint.

Present tense, passé composé, polite requests and causal links.

  2. Comme je ne connais pas encore vos morceaux · The reason makes the following request meaningful.
  3. Dis-moi si cette idée convient au groupe. · The ending requests a reply without assuming agreement.

Task

Write in French to the museum organiser. Explain your interest in a guided visit, use the notes to make a feasible request and ask for the information needed to decide. Do not confirm a booking that does not yet exist.

90–150 words

Planning

  1. Identify recipient and purpose; separate useful visit information from incidental details.
  2. Compare advertised possibilities with the group’s availability. Note what is still unknown.
  3. Organise reason, request and questions; decide how to show that you are awaiting a reply.

Criteria

  1. The message explains the group’s interest and gives the museum an actionable request.

Shows what the recipient can do with your text.

  2. The request relates the advert to availability, asks about missing information and preserves the actual booking status.

Shows how the supplied facts support your response, without invented facts.

  3. Organise ideas into paragraphs and signal the relevant links; pronouns have clear referents.

The reader can follow the reasoning without reconstructing its order.

  4. Your French conveys facts, reasons and qualifications; the register suits the recipient. Complete freedom from errors is not required.

Assessment values communication while allowing errors consistent with the level.

Review

Keep your draft. Review c1–c4: quote evidence or identify what is missing for each criterion. Submit a second version and explain in French one specific change and its effect. If you keep a sentence, explain what you checked. Consult the guide after this attempt; the suggested length does not determine the outcome.
