The idea
Nominalisation removes a verb’s person and tense marking.
Nominalisation removes a verb’s person and tense marking. Die Kommission prüft den Antrag becomes die Prüfung des Antrags durch die Kommission. Preserve actor and recipient; an isolated genitive may be ambiguous.
Die Untersuchung der Expertin can denote an investigation conducted by her or about her. durch makes the actor explicit; another object can clarify what she investigates. Compact wording does not authorise reassigned roles.
Negation and timing must also survive: because it was not approved does not mean because it was rejected without documented rejection. vor der Prüfung and nach der Prüfung order events but do not themselves date them. Check by expanding the summary back into clauses.

Context: an expert examined a machine for an hour. Maschine is the object; durch die Sachverständige explicitly names the actor.
Transfer to a new case
Solve the new case in German and justify the decisions. Check against the criteria, not just the model wording. Die Aufsicht prüfte gestern die Unterlagen des Vereins. Erst danach erlaubte sie den Betrieb. Die Zustimmung der Stadt fehlt noch; eine Ablehnung ist nicht dokumentiert. Schreibe eine nominale Zusammenfassung mit ausdrücklich genanntem Prüfer, Gegenstand und Abfolge; erhalte den offenen Zustimmungsstatus.
