Questions

You answer them by listening. If you slip, we tell you where it is.

  1. What do the photograph and Luis’s account show?

The photograph could give the wrong impression about what he brought. — The interviewer sees a bicycle in the photos, but Luis explains that it belonged to the person beside him. His next object will be a chair.

  2. Why did Luis prefer repairing the object to replacing it?

It was a gift connected with a move to a new home. — His grandfather gave it to him when he moved and he wanted to keep it. No replacement offer or shared part is mentioned.

  3. Luis replaced the broken component himself.

False — The volunteer changed it because Luis did not yet know how. He practised fitting the lampshade, a different task.

  4. How does Luis’s experience differ from leaving an item at a repair shop?

He stayed and learnt part of the repair process. — He remained, inspected the cable with help and practised. He neither swapped objects nor attended the later volunteer meeting.

  5. What does Luis’s plan imply about becoming a helper?

He is interested but wants more experience first. — He will return as a participant and help later after learning. His grandfather may share woodwork skills; no training condition or automatic qualification is set.

  6. Luis thinks his grandfather may contribute a skill he lacks.

True — His grandfather knows woodwork and may share something Luis does not yet know.
