La regla
Una sola palabra, tiempo, te sirve para el reloj y para el cielo. El inglés usa dos: weather es lo que hace ahí fuera y time es la hora. Y del cielo se habla siempre con it: it's raining ahora mismo, it rains todos los inviernos.
El fallo típico
«Hoy hace mal tiempo» no es the time is bad, es the weather is bad. Cuidado también con estación, que en inglés son dos palabras: season es la del año y station la del tren. Y del frío no se dice I have cold ni it makes cold: es I'm cold, it's cold.
