El cambio de ruta (The change of route)

MCER B1248 palabras

Monday · Walking Club to registered walkers: "Your map walk is on Saturday. Meet outside the station at 9:45. We start at 10:00, follow the river path and finish at the market at noon. The free walk has twelve places; yours is confirmed."

Thursday · Walking Club to registered walkers: "A damaged footbridge has closed the river path. Please meet at the library's north entrance instead. We still start at 10:00, but will finish at the library at 11:30. Your booking remains valid; do not register again. If you cannot come, reply by 5 p.m. on Friday so we can offer your place to someone else."

Thursday · Priya to the leader: "I use a wheelchair. The main library entrance has steps. Does the new route have any?" The leader replied: "The north entrance has a ramp. Our replacement route uses level streets, and I can send you a map. I cannot promise that every pavement beyond the planned route is accessible."

Thursday · Priya to Dan: "The meeting place has changed, but our group is still limited to twelve people." Dan had not booked; he had thought a new venue meant more places. He joined the waiting list rather than simply turning up.

Saturday · Walking Club to Dan: "One walker has cancelled, so you now have a place." Dan read the email before leaving home. Priya arrived at the north entrance at 9:40. The leader showed both walkers the revised route before the group set off.
