MCER A2124 palabras

Nuno repairs bicycles in a very small shop in Coimbra. The shop is so small that only three people can be inside at the same time.

He does not have a computer and he does not answer the telephone. If you want a repair, you go to the shop and you wait.

And people wait. Sometimes they wait for an hour and nobody complains, because Nuno repairs everything and he charges very little.

'A bicycle is not a machine,' he says. 'It is a promise. You take it out on Sunday and it has to bring you home.'

His son wants to open a bigger shop with a website. Nuno says no. He is happy with his three people and his hour of waiting.
