Match each question to A, B or C. Letters may be used more than once. A Mia: I joined the drawing club in April. I was worried because I knew nobody. Our teacher helped me draw animals. Now my little brother comes too. I use a room at home to draw on wet afternoons. B Leo: My cousin took me to the club last year. I like drawing buildings outside. A picture I made won a school prize. I never draw at home because our flat is too small. C Zoe: I go to the club with a friend. I enjoy drawing faces. I buy paper with money from my Saturday job. I show all my pictures to my grandmother. She keeps them on her kitchen wall.

Read the text and choose A, B or C. My first day at the pool I’m Ben, and I started helping at our swimming pool last month. I wanted a job in the café, but it already had enough people. The manager asked me to help with the children’s swimming class instead. I don’t teach them: I put the swimming equipment beside the water and collect it afterwards. On my first Saturday, I arrived half an hour early. I thought I needed time to find everything. The swimming teacher showed me where the boxes were and explained what to do. The children arrived at ten. One child was afraid to go into the water. The teacher stayed beside him, and soon he was smiling. After class, I noticed a blue bag under a chair. I gave it to the receptionist. Its owner came back that afternoon and was very happy. I work for two hours every Saturday. The money is useful, but I like the people most. I thought the job would be boring. Now I look forward to it. I’ve also started swimming on Tuesdays after school. Next summer, I hope to learn how to teach younger children.

Here is some information about our school visit. We’re going to the River Museum next Tuesday. The coach leaves at nine fifteen, not nine thirty. Bring a notebook because you’ll draw something during the visit. Lunch is included, so you don’t need sandwiches. The ticket and coach together cost eight pounds. Please give the money to Mrs Green by Friday. We’ll be back at school at three. Remember, it’s the River Museum, and we’re going on Tuesday.

How was your weekend at your uncle’s farm, Jack?

Great. I went on Friday by bus. My parents came by car on Saturday. I fed the chickens each morning, but my cousin fed the cows. I wanted to ride a horse, but it was raining. So my uncle taught me to make bread in the kitchen.

B
Texto
Not really, but waiting for it to cook was boring. On Sunday we walked to a lake. We couldn’t swim because the water was too cold. I took lots of photos instead. I’d like to go again in August, when we can sleep in tents.
