O inglês de escritório funciona à base de imagens: a bola que rola, a neve que tapa, a prancheta a que se volta. Traduzir a imagem não serve.
O erro típico
Confundir os dois idioms de bola: get the ball rolling é começar; drop the ball é falhar no que era teu.
