Preguntas

  1. What will change before the next screening?

The sound of some interviews — A anuncia solo un cambio de sonido para que se oigan las entrevistas bajas; no va a cortarlas.

  2. The new screening will be in the ___ next month.

hall — A anuncia una nueva proyección en el salón el mes siguiente: in the hall next month.

  3. A now thinks the different memories justify keeping the final section.

  4. Why does A refuse to give an exact closing date for the pool?

The memories do not agree — Los entrevistados discrepan sobre el cierre.

  5. All the interviewees have accepted the invitation.

  6. There will be time for ___ after the film.

A Did you watch our neighbourhood film at the festival?

B I did. The interviews were great, but I missed the beginning because the room was already full.

A We hadn't expected so many people. We're arranging another screening in the hall next month.

B Are you changing the film?

A Only the sound. Several viewers couldn't hear the quieter interviews at the back. We aren't cutting any interviews.

B I thought the final section was a little long.

A So did I at first. Then I realised it shows how differently the same street is remembered. Taking one account out would lose that contrast.

B Fair point. Will the people you interviewed be at the next screening?

A We've invited them, but only two have replied so far. We'll leave time for questions afterwards.

B I'd like to ask about the old swimming pool. Nobody in the film agreed on when it closed.

A Then come along. We won't turn their memories into an exact date just to make the ending tidy.
