Every Saturday my grandmother and I go to the market. It is near our house, in the centre of Lisbon.
The market opens at seven and it is full of people. One man sells fish, another sells bread, and a woman in a blue apron sells fruit and vegetables.
My grandmother knows all their names. She talks to everybody, so we are always slow.
We come home with two heavy bags. Then she makes soup, and the kitchen smells of the market.

Because the food from the market is in the soup — O texto não o explica: és tu que ligas as duas coisas. Trazem dois sacos do mercado e é com isso que faz a sopa, por isso a cozinha cheira ao que compraram.
