Two fictional school/community documents, written in English for this activity. Source A: Tour email: The architecture walk meets outside the library. The organiser will email a route map to registered visitors. Source B: Visitor feedback: Some guests read only the printed invitation. They need the meeting point and a way to request a printed map.

  1. A primeira fonte estabelece o ponto de partida: Tour email: The architecture walk meets outside the library. The organiser will email a route map to registered visitors.
  2. A segunda introduz a precisão que precisa acompanhar a informação: Visitor feedback: Some guests read only the printed invitation. They need the meeting point and a way to request a printed map.
  3. A revisão conserva a relação entre ambas: An emailed resource does not supply guidance to visitors who rely on printed information.

Print the library meeting point and provide a contact for requesting a paper route map.

Concluir e extrapolar

  • Versão que amplia o alcance

The email map makes the printed invitation complete for print-only visitors.

  • Versão que preserva o caso

Print the library meeting point and provide a contact for requesting a paper route map.

Uma frase isolada não fecha o caso

The email map makes the printed invitation complete for print-only visitors.

Print the library meeting point and provide a contact for requesting a paper route map.

Conclusão verificável: An emailed resource does not supply guidance to visitors who rely on printed information.

Fonte A: Festival notice: A free ticket gives access to the courtyard performances. The indoor workshop needs a separate reservation because its room has limited capacity. Fonte B: Student message: I have a courtyard ticket and want to attend the indoor workshop. My friend has reserved the workshop but has not collected a courtyard ticket.

Resposta: Entitlements cannot be pooled to grant both people both kinds of entry. → Complete the missing arrangement for each person.; An indoor registration does not supply the other access document. → Collect the corresponding free ticket.; General event access does not create a place in a capacity-limited room. → Request the separately controlled booking.

Request the separately controlled booking. General event access does not create a place in a capacity-limited room. Collect the corresponding free ticket. An indoor registration does not supply the other access document. Complete the missing arrangement for each person. Entitlements cannot be pooled to grant both people both kinds of entry.

Fonte A: Newsletter dated Monday: The science display opens in the hall on Thursday. Entry is free for students and visitors. Fonte B: Correction dated Wednesday: The display has moved to the library. The opening day and free admission have not changed. Old printed newsletters may still be on classroom desks.

Resposta: The later notice supersedes the earlier venue information. → Direct visitors to the newly named location.; The update explicitly preserves the financial condition. → Retain the free-entry information.; The change of place does not change the opening date. → Keep Thursday in the revised announcement.

Direct visitors to the newly named location. The later notice supersedes the earlier venue information. Retain the free-entry information. The update explicitly preserves the financial condition. Keep Thursday in the revised announcement. The change of place does not change the opening date.

Fonte A: School fair guide: Homemade food may be sold if the ingredients are listed. Stall teams must also name the person who prepared each batch. Fonte B: Parent email: Our cakes have ingredient cards, but we combined cakes made by two families on one tray. The guide asks for batch information even when recipes are identical. Afirmação a revisar: “Matching recipes let us use one preparer's name for the combined tray.”

  • Preserva alcance, condições, referentes e qualquer incerteza pertinente.

Resposta: Your aim is to inform readers clearly. I suggest this revision: Keep the ingredients visible and identify which preparer made each batch, even when the recipes match. Before extending it, check this point: The guide does not establish whether any ingredient is safe for a particular visitor.

Contraste de evidências: School fair guide: Homemade food may be sold if the ingredients are listed. Stall teams must also name the person who prepared each batch. / Parent email: Our cakes have ingredient cards, but we combined cakes made by two families on one tray. The guide asks for batch information even when recipes are identical. Aplicação ao caso: Identical ingredients do not establish that two batches have the same preparer.

Fonte A: Book exchange notice: Bring books with complete pages. Notes in the margins are acceptable if the text is readable; damaged covers do not prevent an exchange. Fonte B: Desk note: A student has a book with a torn cover, readable annotations and all its pages. Another book looks new, but its final chapter has missing pages. The desk checks completeness before appearance. Afirmação a revisar: “The newer-looking book is eligible because its cover is intact.”

    • Preserva alcance, condições, referentes e qualquer incerteza pertinente.

Resposta: For students new to this activity: Offer the annotated book; repair the missing content before offering the other. The notice does not state which titles participants prefer.

Contraste de evidências: Book exchange notice: Bring books with complete pages. Notes in the margins are acceptable if the text is readable; damaged covers do not prevent an exchange. / Desk note: A student has a book with a torn cover, readable annotations and all its pages. Another book looks new, but its final chapter has missing pages. The desk checks completeness before appearance. Aplicação ao caso: A worn exterior can meet the exchange rule better than an incomplete new-looking copy.

Fonte A: Exhibition invitation: Students may submit photos they took. A photo showing an identifiable person needs that person's permission for the exhibition. Fonte B: Editor note: Permission to display a photo at school does not include permission to publish it on the public website. The same photo is being considered for both places. Afirmação a revisar: “A student's own exhibition photo can be posted online using the existing school consent.”

    • Preserva alcance, condições, referentes e qualquer incerteza pertinente.

Resposta: Confirm exhibition permission and request separate website permission before posting. Has the pictured person separately agreed to public website use? The messages do not show whether website consent has already been obtained.

O pedido precisa nomear o dado ausente e explicar qual decisão depende dele. Contraste de evidências: Exhibition invitation: Students may submit photos they took. A photo showing an identifiable person needs that person's permission for the exhibition. / Editor note: Permission to display a photo at school does not include permission to publish it on the public website. The same photo is being considered for both places. Aplicação ao caso: The right to submit one's own photo does not settle consent from people pictured in it.

Fonte A: Peer support notice: Mentors can help students plan a draft and explain feedback. They cannot grade assignments or submit work on another student's behalf. Fonte B: Student request: My draft is unfinished, and I need help deciding which feedback to use. I also want the mentor to send the final assignment directly to the teacher. Afirmação a revisar: “The mentor can grade my unfinished draft and send it to the teacher after our meeting.”

    • Preserva alcance, condições, referentes e qualquer incerteza pertinente.

Resposta: Imagine a mentor clarifying useful feedback while the student revises independently: the help could succeed without authorizing the mentor to grade or submit. Accepting revision support does not transfer authorship or submission responsibility.

Contraste de evidências: Peer support notice: Mentors can help students plan a draft and explain feedback. They cannot grade assignments or submit work on another student's behalf. / Student request: My draft is unfinished, and I need help deciding which feedback to use. I also want the mentor to send the final assignment directly to the teacher. Aplicação ao caso: Accepting revision support does not transfer authorship or submission responsibility.

Fonte A: Museum visit notice: School groups enter through the side gate at the time on their confirmation. The main gate is for individual visitors; group leaders must bring the confirmation. Fonte B: Leader's email: Our confirmation is for the afternoon, but the bus can arrive in the morning. Reception can change a booking only after checking available group slots. Afirmação a revisar: “Our afternoon confirmation authorizes morning entry because the bus arrives early.”

    • Preserva alcance, condições, referentes e qualquer incerteza pertinente.

Resposta: The criterion is whether the proposed statement preserves the conditions and scope of both documents. Earlier transport availability does not change the group's confirmed admission time. Keep the confirmed afternoon group slot and side gate, or ask reception to approve a different slot before changing the plan. The email does not state whether a morning group slot is available.

Contraste de evidências: Museum visit notice: School groups enter through the side gate at the time on their confirmation. The main gate is for individual visitors; group leaders must bring the confirmation. / Leader's email: Our confirmation is for the afternoon, but the bus can arrive in the morning. Reception can change a booking only after checking available group slots. Aplicação ao caso: Earlier transport availability does not change the group's confirmed admission time.
